FAQ

What people ask us most. Don't see yours? Call us, we're happy to help on the phone.

What areas do you serve?
We're based at 41843 10th St West, Suite C in Palmdale and serve Palmdale, Lancaster, Santa Clarita, Quartz Hill, Littlerock, Acton, Rosamond and nearby Antelope Valley communities.
How fast can you come out?
Call (661) 965-3667 any time or book online. We call you back fast to set a time, and most repairs are finished on the first visit because our trucks carry common parts.
My garage door spring broke. Can I still open the door?
Don't try. A broken torsion spring means the door's full weight (often 150 to 300 lb) is on the opener or on you, and the other spring and cables are under high tension. Leave the door closed, unplug the opener if it keeps straining, and call us. We replace springs in pairs and balance the door.
Do you give the price before starting?
Yes. We give you a price range on the phone, and the technician confirms the price before any work starts. For new doors we measure first and send a written quote.
Which garage door openers do you install?
Chamberlain and LiftMaster. Chamberlain is our good-value line; LiftMaster is professional-grade, quieter, with cameras, brighter lights and longer warranties, including wall-mount openers for heavy doors and high ceilings. Every opener we install has battery backup and myQ smartphone control.
What is California SB 969?
Since July 1, 2019, every garage door opener sold or installed on a California home must have a battery backup that keeps it working in a power outage. A new garage door also can't be installed on an existing opener that doesn't have one. Each violation carries a $1,000 civil penalty. The law came out of the 2017 Northern California wildfires: when the power was cut, some people could not get their cars out of the garage to evacuate. Read SB 969 on the California Legislature's site.
Can I keep my existing opener with a new garage door?
Keeping your opener is fine if it has a working battery backup. When we measure, we check it. If it has none, some models can take a battery add-on; older openers can't, and the opener has to be replaced before we can hang your new door.
Can I see what a new door looks like on my house?
Yes. Our free online door designer lets you upload a photo of your house and try styles, colors, windows and openers, then send the design to us for a quote.
Which garage doors do you install?
We install doors from Unique Garage Door: flush, raised-panel, carriage-house, plank and modern full-view styles in steel with polystyrene or polyurethane insulation, many colors and wood-grain textures, and dozens of window designs.
Do you work with property management companies and landlords?
Yes. Landlords and property managers get a property management portal to request service for each property, see quotes and invoices, and share access with tenants or owners.
How do I pay?
By cash, check or card. Invoices arrive by email, and you can view and download them in your account, and pay by card online when it's available.
